Nocino or Walnut Liqueurs have a long tradition in Italy and are made by seeping green walnuts in liqueur and adding sugar. The spirit is dark and think with a taste of walnut and sweet (go figure, right?).<\/p>\n
Many families make nocino at home but the commercial versions, like Nux Alpina Walnut Liqueur, is 40% alcohol.<\/p>\n
